Sounds Great Productions in business since 1991 was founded on the idea of bringing
bands and artists affordable quality sound recording, CD and DVD duplication, and
music business services to the DFW area. Sounds Great Productions strives to make
every project unique and offers a nice comfortable atmosphere for bands and artists
to work. The 2300 square foot facility houses 2 recording studios and a duplication
business which was all recently remodeled in 2005 including many equipment updates.
Sounds Great Productions does not just offer recording and duplication but also
houses Blue Sky International Music which offers such services as publishing, web
design and hosting, Art Layout and design, and many music business services. Sounds

| We were very excited to have Gary come by on Feb. 21st to record a guest vocal on the Spur 503 project. Gary sang a few verses of the song, “Raising The Bar,” which will be released March 15th on Spur’s album of the same title. |  |

| Here we are at the end of the project, and it has been such a long one I feel like part of their family. Over the course of six months and after and few setbacks, we are nearing the finish. This CD has a variety of feels from hard stompin' Texas Country to heart-wrenching ballads, and the title track, Raising The Bar, delves into the idea that the bar scene is dead. I have really enjoyed working on this project and wish the band all success! Their CD Release party will be at Cutters in Denison TX on March 15th. | Mike Adkins' New Album |
| On February 18th we went into the studio to start tracking Mike’s first album. This project features Tracy Martin (of Kevin Fowler’s band) on guitar, Doug Driesel on bass, Joe Deleon on drums, and many others. Jamie Richards is co-producing with me and I sure am glad to have some extra ears. We tracked eleven songs and overdubbed some of the lead instruments over the course of four very long days. We’ll be coming back into the studio to cut a few more rhythm tracks, which will complete what we need for the album, and then it’s on to the overdubs. | The Bad Monkeys Nominated for Texas Music Award |
| The Bad Monkeys are classified as a Tropical Rock Band. They blend tropical music with some rock, Texas country, and red dirt styles. They were nominated for the album “Costal Girl,” which we produced here at SG Studios. The Texas Music Awards will be hosted by Gary P Nunn at the Palestine Civic Center on May 3rd . | Studio Remodel |
| We've been working very hard upgrading our facility to make our clients feel more comfortable, and to provide a great environment for creativity. Last month we decided to remodel Studio B, a small overdub room. We have upgraded the paint and added wood floors. We will soon be testing and installing the sound treatment. We plan to have this room finished by mid-March, and as time allows, continue on to the rest of the studio. Our ultimate goal is to have the entire studio remodeled by the end of the year. | After a huge success with the last single we are looking forward to Jamie's new single "Drive" being released and moving up the charts.
